DP World Evyap operates two state-of-the-art terminals on the Gulf of İzmit, combining advanced container handling with bulk, liquid, and project cargo capabilities. Yarımca’s rail-to-quay links and electrified cranes enable rapid vessel turnaround, while Körfez specialises in multi-cargo handling with dedicated infrastructure for complex shipments. Together, they form a strategic gateway that connects Türkiye’s industrial base directly to Europe, Asia, and global trade routes.

In Türkiye we focus on inclusion and ocean health. We’re advancing women’s representation through the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles and supporting DYKD’s Coral Guardians to restore native coral in the Marmara Sea, all aligned with DP World’s Our World, Our Future programme.

Women’s Empowerment

DP World is a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), and DP World Evyap is proud to be the first port in Türkiye to join the initiative. As part of our commitment to a more inclusive future, we’re increasing the share of women in our workforce from 21% to 30% — creating more opportunities, driving diversity in leadership, and strengthening our teams with a broader range of talent and perspectives.

Coral Guardians

DP World Evyap supports Coral Guardians, a DYKD-led project restoring native yellow coral to the Marmara Sea at Tavşan Island, Türkiye’s first marine protected area. Early results show around 75% adaptation and over 200% growth, with ongoing monitoring and outreach strengthening local marine biodiversity.

CELEBRATING OUR SUSTAINABILITY EDUCATION IMPACT

Our long-term collaboration with the Mind Your Waste Foundation has been recognised with three national awards, highlighting the success of our Minding My Waste project in driving awareness, education, and behavioural change around sustainability.

Corporate Engagement Award

We received a Bronze Award for Best Programme Management for Minding My Waste, developed with the Mind Your Waste Foundation and Kocaeli Directorate of National Education to raise awareness about waste among school children.

Silver Stevie Award

Our Minding My Waste educational programme earned a Silver Stevie Award for Corporate Social Responsibility in Europe, recognising our leadership in sustainability and reducing environmental impact.

Boğaziçi Environment Award

Our “Zero the Waste” mobile game, created with the Mind Your Waste Foundation to teach children about environmental responsibility, was named Most Environmentalist Mobile App of the Year.
