John Darbyshire
Senior Manager, Nanaimo
John Darbyshire, an experienced maritime professional, arrived on Canada’s West Coast in 1994 with 11 years of experience in the British Merchant Navy. He holds class 2/1 deck and class 2 engineer certifications. In 2004, he became a Canadian citizen and joined DP World Canada in 2012, managing container and general cargo operations on Vancouver Island.
John holds three higher national diplomas from a UK maritime college and currently serves as the senior operations manager for DP World Nanaimo and the Island.
