Jeddah Port ushers in new operational efficiency with CARGOES TOS+
DP World Jeddah has successfully launched CARGOES TOS+ Operations and Planning System (OPS) module.
"DP World Jeddah manages billions of dollars in traded goods every year targeted to retailers and consumers throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. CARGOES TOS+ OPS is a DP World-developed technology with a proven track record in improving and optimising the overall operations' performance. We are extremely satisfied to see the improvements in our operational KPIs within the first ten days of the launch, and look forward to furthering enhancements in our operations at DP World Jeddah.
CARGOES TOS+ OPS implementation and integration capabilities will pave the way for DP World Jeddah to continue the automation journey as it provides an advance and robust integration environment for the equipment automation program and the Real-Time Location System (RTLS) implementations, amongst other smart trade digital transformation projects we have in the pipeline" said Mohammad AlShaikh, CEO, DP World Jeddah and Country Head, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The launch last week also included the N4 interface - the bridge between the system and users - making it the first terminal in DP World to deploy the TOS+ OPS with the N4 backend.
"I'm proud of what our team has accomplished over the years, and it is those years of experience that have led us to create an easy to implement cloud-based solution that is scalable through a modulated framework. Our goal is to provide the future of smart-port solutions by leveraging the most advanced technologies to accelerate container efficiency through ports, saving time and money." said Dr. Mohamed Rahmah, Vice President, Zodiac.
Over time, this initiative will increase port efficiency for cargo owners driving their goods through DP World Jeddah, meaning containers move faster from liner to gate and beyond to retailers and consumers.
The OPS module is a powerful, flexible planning platform for terminal operations. It combines a feature-rich frontend and backend, offering customers the best management and planning experience to optimise terminal assets. The OPS is a robust solution, packaging a suite of features that lets planning staff define their own productivity goals and rules.
The system was up and running on October 16, 2021 and the team is delighted, as this rollout in Jeddah provides another partner to improve and grow the CARGOES TOS+ suite.
