Rainwater harvesting projects

In line with our efforts to support access to clean water and sanitation, we are actively engaging resources in the domains of rainwater harvesting, grey water harvesting, artificial recharging of ground water and water conservation in schools and communities in partnership with the Water Literacy Foundation.

Trees for Life

Trees for Life is part of the Project Green Hands initiative to promote agroforestry. Planting trees is the simplest solution to our present-day environmental problems. Through the Trees for Life program, farmers are encouraged to plant a combination of fruit, fodder and timber trees on their farmland. Designed to bring tree-based agriculture back to the heart of Indian farming, through this agroforestry model, farmers are guided to choose and plant the right kind of tree sapling. The trees are selected to take care of all issues like crop failure, soil erosion and water inadequacy, thereby creating a self-sustaining movement. We have planted 30,000 trees through this project, in partnership with Isha Outreach.
