SHIPPING SOLUTIONS FAQs
How can DP World support my shipping requirements?
Shipping Solutions combine feeder, shortsea, coastal, road, rail, and multimodal transport to create seamless connections between regional markets and global trade routes. Customers can choose individual services or integrated solutions that support the movement of cargo from origin to destination.
Which regions does DP World's shipping solutions serve?
Our shipping network connects more than 200 ports across Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and the Americas. Coverage varies by service, with regional sailing schedules available for each network.
How does DP World deliver effective Feeder Ship Solutions?
Effective feeder ship solutions rely on scale, reliability, and network coverage. Our feeder fleet operates around 16,000 calls across more than 200 ports, running to fixed schedules on safety-certified vessels, so cargo keeps moving reliably between regional hubs and global trade lanes.
Should I choose feedering or shortsea for my route?
Feedering suits cargo moving to or from ports that mainline vessels do not call at directly, using fixed schedules and rapid turnaround to connect with those larger vessels. Shortsea is a better fit for moving cargo directly between European ports without needing a mainline connection, often as a more sustainable alternative to road or rail. We often see shippers use both, depending on the specific ports involved.
