Port Particulars

DP World Luanda's main business is operating the port's container terminal. Our terminal provides conditions for the storage/handling of reefers, hazardous cargo containers and dry containers.

Terminal Features

• Linear quay of 610 (m), uniform draft -12.5 (m).
• The only terminal in Angola capable of berthing 2 larger ships simultaneously.
• Terminal with the largest storage capacity in Angola.
• No transfer of containers to ICD.
• Customs scanner - suitable for export cargo.
• Due to improved conditions since we took over the terminal, average hourly throughput has doubled.

As an integral part of Angola's economy, DP World Luanda offers a gateway for importers and exporters throughout the country and a transit gateway to the southern regions of Africa (Kinshasa, Katanga, Lusaka).

• Related to the capacities and permissions of our berth/pier terminal.
• Maximum pier length 610 meters.
• Maximum depth over 12.50 meters.
• Beam capacity 1000 KN/unit
• Maximum beam allowed: 18 rows based on the current reach capacity of the mobile cranes.
