A: Access to the VBS system can be obtained through here.

A VBS registration form can be located on the DP World Southampton website. Please complete this and return it via email: [email protected],You will then be contacted with your login details within 48 hours of receipt (Monday-Friday).

A: Once a booking has been made it can be moved forward or back a maximum of six hours. Moving to a new booking time will however depend on availability. Bookings can be changed up to the hour of their commence but not once the booking has started.
A: Our VBS system is used in conjunction with a sophisticated method of transfer areas and slots. This enables us to utilise the terminal’s resources providing higher performance levels, often allowing us to increase the bookings even at peak times.

Yes, please ensure all drivers have completed the Terminal Awareness Course (TAC) prior to arriving at DP World Southampton. All drivers who have passed the TAC will be equipped with a Truck Driver ID Card.

A: For safety reasons, passengers are not permitted in lorry cabs unless the cargo is of high value or the passenger is another driver undergoing terminal familiarisation. Please be advised that we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for Passenger in Cab requests. Requests are processed Monday to Friday 0830-1700 only. No person under the age of 16 will be admitted. In order to obtain authorisation to carry a passenger, you must send proof of high value cargo / training, via email, to: [email protected]. If authorisation is given an email will be sent back to you from DP World Southampton’s Landside Department. Please refer to our charges.

A: Yes. DG notices can be emailed to [email protected] but please ensure the email subject field shows the container number.
