About Us

Mundra International Container Terminal is India’s first greenfield project in a Minor Port to commence container terminal operations successfully. Since the commencement of operations in 2003, MICT has handled over 10 million individual containers, bringing the world closer to our customers spread over Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and other North Indian locations. It has been a clear trigger for the changing face of container trade in India.

The Port of Mundra can leverage its good connectivity and locational advantage to the vast North Indian market to emerge as the largest port in India and offer year-round vessel connectivity to all major destinations, free of tidal restrictions. MICT has a proven ability to handle large vessels to the tune of 367 meters in LOA with a draught of 15.5 meters.

Since the commencement of operations, we have remained a preferred gateway for all major shipping lines due to our innovative, dedicated and well-trained customer-centric workforce and continuously improving productivity standards, currently over 32 GCR and BP of 100. Our focus on LEAN and new technologies has helped drive productivity, sustainability and customer experience.

MICT has continuously set new benchmarks for itself, from handling the first million TEU in 2014 in Gujarat and repeating the feat regularly.
