Ranadhir Reddy
Senior Vice President - Rail & Inland Terminals - Strategy & Business Development - Middle East, North Africa & India Subcontinent
As the Senior Vice President of strategy and development for DP World’s rail and inland terminals, Middle East, North Africa and Subcontinent, Ranadhir Reddy will be responsible to drive the expansion of the company’s rail network as well as its network of Private Freight Terminals and deliver on our growth ambitions. He has varied experience spanning over 30 years.
Having been selected to the Civil Services through the UPSC Civil Services Exam batch of 1987, Ranadhir worked in various senior positions in State and Central Governments and PSUs. He held various senior positions in operations and planning in the Railways and while in the Ministry of Fertilisers, working as a Director, he oversaw production planning, inventory management, and distribution of fertilizers in the country. While in State Government, as Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, he was responsible for the implementation of several urban renewal projects.
As Project Director (MRTS), Ranadhir was responsible for the concept, design, development, and successful commissioning of the Multi-modal Transport System (MMTS) in Hyderabad. Concurrently he also headed the SPV for the development of the Metro project in Hyderabad and laid foundations for its implementation in the Public-Private Partnership mode, the first of its kind in India. Both projects are now successfully commissioned and running.
Ranadhir served as a Director on the Board of Directors of PDIL (Projects & Development India Ltd..), Paradeep Phosphates Limited, an Indo-Moroccan venture, and was a Trustee in Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT), a DFID-funded project. He also served as a member of the Potash Promotion Project in the country.
Ranadhir is a Civil Engineer from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and attended the London School of Economics and INSEAD, Singapore for professional studies.
