INVESTING IN RESILIENCE
Our recent MoU with the government of the Dominican Republic to enhance the Port of Caucedo commits $380m for expanding the quay and breakwater to accommodate larger vessels, new ship-to-shore cranes, yard equipment, advanced surveillance systems and security infrastructure, as well as upgrades to gates, roads, and automation systems.
In conjunction with simultaneous investment and expansion of our broader SEZ capabilities, these investments ensure we’re preparing more resilient trade solutions, creating and supporting thousands of jobs, and further enhance our position as a strategic trade gateway.
By boosting capacity and enabling nearshoring opportunities, we will transform Caucedo into the most advanced logistics hub in the Caribbean, not only strengthening supply chain resilience across the Americas but also creating a powerful engine for economic growth and job creation in the Dominican Republic.
