Development of New Pregate

Global shipping industry is changing at a fast pace and now with Covid-19, its evolution has become quite unpredictable. To cope up with this challenging situation and to provide an unmatched service to Pakistan trade and its stakeholders whilst keeping the safety and security of all concerned being paramount, QICT with support of Port Qasim Authority has planned to revamp its operations by developing a New Pre-gate Truck Parking Area of 35 acres which is ready for operations. This is not just a mere shifting of location, commencement of operations will definitely facilitate Trade and Port Facility in general not only by providing larger parking area of 35 acres than before to truckers but also act as a launch pad for the following factors:

Smooth Traffic Flow and Operations: Larger parking area will reduce rush flow on roads and ultimately reduce the Truck Turnaround time which will increase the truck utilization and reduce the Cost of Doing Business at QICT.  Online Export QICT Gate Management System (QGMS): Allowing paperless transactions for export receiving from the comfort of customer’s offices which no other terminal in Pakistan is offering. Another E-initiative which will give complete transparency to Pakistani exporters and also reduce their Cost of Doing Business at QICT. This initiative will provide;
