TURTLE SEASON REPORT

Since 2022, DP World Maputo has proudly partnered with Dolphin Care Africa in Ponta do Ouro to support marine conservation efforts focused on protecting dolphins and preserving the rich biodiversity of our coastline.

Highlights from the 2025/26 turtle season:

• 171 dedicated turtle monitoring walks conducted

• 443 hours of conservation monitoring effort

• 56 loggerhead turtle tracks recorded

• 1 critically endangered leatherback turtle documented

• 1,079 hatched egg cases recorded

• Four turtle species observed across the coastline
