CMA CGM PUGET IN MAPUTO

An important milestone as the first larger vessel handled since the start of our container terminal expansion project in April 2025. With a length overall of 282.1 metres and capacity of 4,404 TEUs, the call reflected our terminal’s growing ability to handle larger vessels and the progress being made in strengthening our capabilities at DP World Maputo. 

Our teams successfully coordinated and berthed the vessel, demonstrating strong operational readiness and the ability to handle more complex vessel calls safely and efficiently. This was made possible through close collaboration between DP World Planning, CMA CGM Central Planners, MPDC, and the Project Team, ensuring safe operations, efficient berth allocation and improved turnaround performance.

More importantly, this milestone reinforces our growing ability to accommodate larger vessels, deepen strategic partnerships with customers such as CMA CGM, and strengthen Maputo’s position as an increasingly competitive regional gateway in Africa.
