Situated in Central Pennsylvania, the Middletown facility provides direct truck and rail access to major East and West Coast ports while enabling efficient delivery into key metropolitan areas throughout the region. 

The site’s positioning allows businesses to improve delivery speed while reducing the operational costs often associated with larger coastal logistics markets. The facility was specifically designed to support multi-customer logistics operations, allowing businesses to access enterprise-level fulfillment infrastructure without the burden of building or operating dedicated warehouse networks.

The facility is expected to handle more than 10 million inbound and outbound units annually and support up to 200 full-time team members as operations continue to grow.

Security and operational integrity are also central to the facility’s design. The warehouse holds TAPA-A certification, reinforcing DP World’s commitment to secure inventory handling and high operational standards for customers managing valuable or sensitive goods.

The Middletown expansion also highlights DP World’s focus on continuous improvement and sustainability across its logistics operations.

In addition to launching the new multi-customer facility, DP World consolidated two smaller Pennsylvania operations into a second state-of-the-art 554,000-square-foot warehouse in Middletown.

That operation earned DP World’s Global Kaizen Award in Contract Logistics for its “Greenficiency” initiative — a project focused on improving efficiency while reducing environmental impact. 

The initiative delivered measurable operational and sustainability improvements, including:
•    A 34% reduction in cycle time
•    A 54% increase in units processed per hour
•    A 30% increase in handled volume
•    Elimination of 2.1 tons of plastic waste
•    A 74% reduction in cardboard usage 

These results demonstrate how operational efficiency and sustainability can work together to create stronger, more resilient supply chains.
