Saeed has been working in the industry since 2017 and joined an intensive talent acceleration programme (20XEL). Started his journey with DP World as a Trainee in the People Department, looking after the recruitment and development of young Emiratis. Then had the opportunity to shift to the Commercial Department within DP World UAE, looking after shipping lines from inquiries, contracts, and operational challenges.
This gave him exposure to the business from an operational and commercial perspective. After joining the 20Xel Programme, he shifted from the regional business unit to the DP World Head office and the Maritime Services Division. Saeed was placed into multiple business units of DP World: P&O Maritime, Drydocks World, and Dubai Maritime City, working on a variety of projects related to Safety, Training, & Strategy. As part of his global exposure, Saeed was allocated to Canada to work on commercial projects.
Upon his return, he was part of the Middle East & Africa Regional office, overseeing the commercial activities for Ports & Terminals. This gave him the opportunity to experience work in a different and challenging environment, working in the MEA region, which gave him a holistic view of the business, where his involvement was mainly in strategic initiatives and expansions. Currently, Saeed is joined GCC in the Jebel Ali Commercial department.
