The Process of Obtaining Binding Origin Information

To apply for a BOI, businesses must submit a detailed application to the relevant customs authority. This includes documentation outlining the production process, materials used, and supporting evidence such as invoices or contracts.

After reviewing the information, customs may issue a BOI that is usually valid for three years. It remains valid unless there are significant changes in production or the legal framework affecting origin rules.
