TRAINEE PROGRAMME
BUILD YOUR FUTURE IN SHIPPING
The program is designed to provide both theoretical and practical experience, equipping you with the necessary tools to make a significant impact on our business.
You start your traineeship at our headquarters in Aarhus N, where you rotate through multiple departments, gaining valuable experience through our operations, customer interactions, and fuel supply. For the final three months of your first year, you are based at and working from our office in Hamburg. DP World covers all housing and transportation expenses during the rotation in Hamburg.
DEVELOPING SHIPPING PROFESSIONALS
As part of the trainee program, you attend the shipping education at Rybners. Furthermore, we offer you a spot in the academy-level education in International Transport & Logistics with SmartAcademy.
When you finish your traineeship with DP World, you will have a thorough knowledge of container operations and a broad understanding of the shipping industry. Together with a strong social network across the organisation, this prepares you for your future career within international shipping – hopefully at one of DP World’s locations.

DO YOU QUALIFY?
You’re interested in international shipping and trade and eager to push the limits of logistics. You’re mature, independent, and may have professional or international experience.
Furthermore, we expect you to:
- Be passionate about learning and developing your skills
- Want to contribute and apply your knowledge
Communicate confidently in both Danish and English - Be willing to engage in an international, flexible, and active team
Have an HHX exam or EUS course, if you have a STX, HTX, or HF exam
Your application should contain your CV, cover letter and transcript of grades.
