DP World launches app for Port of Santos drivers

SANTOS, BRAZIL | NOVEMBER 14, 2025 – DP World, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, has announced the launch of DP World Smart Gate, a new app designed for drivers using its terminal at the Port of Santos, Brazil. The tool aims to modernize the driver’s experience by reducing time spent within the port complex.

Through the app, drivers can check booking details in advance, review access guidelines, update their registrations, and comply with scheduled appointments in a simple, digital way. The initiative helps optimise vehicle flows, bringing greater efficiency to operations and safer movement across the terminal.

The application also provides up-to-date company information for carriers and associations representing independent truck drivers operating in the Port of Santos. This contributes to time savings and reduces logistical bottlenecks when accessing the terminal.

DP World currently has about 40,000 registered drivers in its database. At the Santos terminal gate alone, more than 2,000 daily transactions are handled during the week, and over 1,000 on weekends. By offering a dedicated digital channel, the company reinforces its commitment to efficiency and reliability at Latin America’s biggest port complex.

From November, the DP World Smart Gate app will be available for download on Apple Store and Google Play. Access is restricted to drivers pre-approved by transport companies to ensure secure use and maintain the integrity of terminal operations.

The tool marks a milestone in DP World’s relationship with drivers by offering practical benefits for those facing the daily challenges of road transport. It also strengthens the company’s partnership with carriers by reducing waiting times, avoiding congestion, and improving predictability in terminal operations.
