DP World's new logistics business ships first container in Santos
Date: 04/05/2021
DP World Logistics, the new logistics arm of the DP World Group created at the end of last year, held this Thursday, the 8th, the first export shipment operation at the terminal of DP World Santos, on the left bank of the wharf of Santos.
The shipment of the first container took place around noon, on the ship Bomar Resolute, from the Chinese shipowner Cosco.
The products shipped are destined for the San Antonio terminal in Chile, which also belongs to the DP World Group.
DP World is officially starting its operations as NVOCC (Non Vessel Operator Common Carrier) and will offer within its service portfolio the so-called door-to-door service, that is, the complete logistics of the customers' cargo in import and export operations.
These supplemental operations are part of DP World’s strategy, consolidating the company as a global trade facilitator, with competitive solutions that contribute to add value to its customers’ global chains.
