Mohammed Abu Hamra

Dr. Mohamed AbuHamra is a business leader in the trade and logistics industry and serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Digital Technology at DP World GCC, where he leads the digital business and oversees the strategy, growth and operations of technology-enabled platforms across ports, free zones and logistics. He focuses on advancing more efficient and connected supply chains through innovation and digital trade enablement.

Since joining DP World in 2009, he has been involved in initiatives aimed at advancing the above for customers. His work spans both operational initiatives within DP World’s global infrastructure and the development of digital capabilities that facilitate cross-border trade, including platforms such as Dubai Trade, which has processed more than 400 million transactions to date.

He holds a Doctorate from the UK, with research focused on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the logistics industry. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Computing and Information Systems, both awarded with distinction.

Dr. AbuHamra serves on several boards, advisory groups and councils focused on shaping the future of trade, logistics and digital commerce in the region and globally. He is also an active cancer awareness advocate, committed to supporting early detection and community impact.
