Martin Jacob

Martin Jacob leads the transformation of DP World Dar es Salaam, driving the modernisation of the port to position it for the future of global trade. With over two decades of experience across Africa and the Middle East, he brings extensive expertise in port operations, shipping, intermodal transport, and infrastructure development.
Before joining DP World, Martin held senior leadership roles at APM Terminals, including Managing Director positions in Nigeria, where he successfully led business turnarounds and significantly increased terminal throughput.
He is recognised for building high-performing teams and delivering sustainable operational and commercial results. His leadership style is rooted in understanding complex environments, fostering strong stakeholder alignment, and leading by action.
Martin holds a master’s degree in finance and economics from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
