Varghese M. Thomas is Senior Vice President - Brand, Partnerships and Communications for DP World’s Subcontinent, Central Asia, Levant & Egypt region. In his current role, he is responsible for driving brand strategy, corporate and strategic communications, and partnerships to support business growth and stakeholder confidence across the region.
A globally recognised communications leader, Varghese brings over three decades of experience in building and protecting reputation, shaping brands, and driving influence across global markets. He has led high-impact communication and brand programmes for organisations including TVS Motor, BlackBerry, Cisco, and Intel, with leadership experience across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific. He is widely respected for his expertise in crisis management, executive positioning, and stakeholder engagement, and is a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders and boards on complex, high-stakes decisions.
He has written extensively for leading publications and contributed to three books on communications in India. He has created a podcast for communications students, developed an AI-powered communications tech bot supporting core communications priorities, and authored two fiction novels. He holds a Master’s degree in Business, specialising in International Marketing.
