Abdulla Al Hashmi

Abdulla Al Hashmi is Global Chief Operating Officer, Parks & Economic Zones at DP World. 

Abdulla joined DP World in 2009 as a graduate trainee and has since built his career across the business. He began in the commercial department before moving into Corporate Finance & Business Development, where he worked on mergers and acquisitions, greenfield developments and concession agreements with governments across the Group’s portfolio. In 2022, Abdulla was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Parks & Zones for the GCC. The regional portfolio he manages in that role, including DP World’s flagship Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), remains under his oversight as part of his current global mandate. 

Abdulla has over 17 years of experience spanning shipping, ports, and the management and development of economic zones. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Dubai Men’s College. He also serves on the boards of several DP World subsidiaries and joint ventures.
