DP World Djazair’s contributions against COVID19

Since the beginning of the epidemic, with this in mind, DP World provide a heavy hand in the context of the launch of the solidarity campaign to prevent and fight the spread of Corona Virus, a donation of more than 6,000 PCR tests of the new coronavirus (Covid-19 - Polymerase Chain Reaction) was handed over last week by DP WORLD to the Institute Pasteur Algeria (IPA), as part of contributions to the efforts of public authorities in the fight against the spread of the pandemic.

DP World Djazair had received the tests as a donation from the president and CEO of the Dubai Ports World Group, Mr. Sultan bin Sulayem, who responded quickly and contributed effectively to the success of the initiative to fight the epidemic in Algeria in coordination with the Franco-Algerian friendship association.

This initiative concerns not only the community but also the employees so that each employee of DP World Djazair and DP World Djendjen benefits from a PCR test in case of contamination.

Moreover, and on the one hand DPW Djazair has organized in coordination with the wilaya of Algiers under the slogan "stay at home, we work for you", this initiative consists in the distribution of more than 300 vouchers (as Ramadan baskets) for the occasions of the holy month for the benefit of families confined during this pandemic.

Also it is important to share that DP World Djazair did a great initiative for fighting COVID19 which was blood donation for the people Who were contaminated; so collected blood for over 60 patients.

And after EID we will accomplish clearance of the Masks in order to be distributed to all employees and for over 145.000 masks for community in collaboration with the friendship frenco-algerian association.
