Our Approach

DP World Berbera received two awards at the Global CSR Awards 2021, Asia's most prestigious recognition awards programme for Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Governance. The Terminal received the 'Platinum Award' for CSR Leadership in recognition of individual leadership and contribution to the environment, community, and education sectors, and our Sustainable Community programme. The second award won was the 'Silver' for 'Best Community Programme', in recognition of long-term impact in education.

DP WORLD Berbera International Women Day

On 08th March 2021, DP World Berbera Women Networking Group organized an event to celebrate International Women’s Day, at Maansoor Hotel, Berbera, with 25 participants attending from different sectors including DP World Berbera, Berbera Municipality and Berbera Regional Hospital. We also invited prominent female scholars in Sahil Region and focused the Slogan of the year “Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a Covid-19 World” Eng. Hibaq, entrepreneur, the Founder of Maama Construction Company, encouraged the female participants to fight for their equality in every sector of society and the elimination of violence and the empowerment of all girls. Sahra, the chairperson of DP World Women Networking Group addressed the issue of Women in Leadership during the era of Covid-19. She reiterated that women in the health sector are at front lines to fight the Covid 19 pandemic, and it’s an example to the world that Women can become leaders in many sectors in the society. She also promised the participants that the DP World Women Networking group will organize more such events to promote and help one another.

GROW Second Batch

DP World Berbera commenced induction and orientation training for 14 Grow Team second batch for two years training. The induction workshop will take 3 days in which they attend several sessions including: Current Developments made by DP World Berbera, Safety and Security Pillars and Procedures, HR Policies, Our Sustainability Initiatives and Our Principles, Operations Session and lastly Customer Service Sessions. The Grow second batch consists of three departments, 8 Electrical Engineering, 4 Mechanical Engineering and 2 will join the Customer Service Department.
