DP World Yarımca volunteers ran for the environment

Volunteering employees from the DP World Yarımca port, which took part in the İstanbul Marathon for the fifth time, ran to prevent plastic pollution in our oceans this year. Together with the Mind Your Waste Foundation, DPWY volunteers organized a rhythm workshop at the finish line in Dolmabahçe to make their voices heard by all participants.

A global member of the IMPACT2030 initiative, DP World carried out awareness-raising activities on ocean pollution throughout the year with volunteering employees from its more than 80 ports in over 40 countries. DP World Yarımca, which has been collaborating with the Mind Your Waste Foundation for the prevention of environment pollution, participated in the Vodafone İstanbul Marathon with 70 volunteers. The volunteers ran to raise awareness on reduction of plastic wastes and recycling, a cause we, as a company hold dear. At the 8th kilometer of the 15-km track in Dolmabahçe, DPWY volunteers held a percussion workshop led by musician Cenk Sarkuş and his friends, inviting everyone to mind their waste.
