Our Facility in Luanda: A gateway on the western coast of Southern Africa
Our team at the Port of Luanda aims to grow this strategically located facility into a major trade hub along the western coast of Southern Africa. Since we started managing operations of the port terminal in 2021, our team has already implemented a series of improvements to enhance safety, productivity, digital systems, and efficiency at the port.
With an investment of over $190 million (USD) to transform the terminal, our team believes that we can help the government of Angola achieve its ambitions for significant economic growth.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and responsible corporate citizenship, we invest in local communities, environmental protection projects and upskilling programmes for maximum impact.

Record Breaking Implementation of Digital Services
Our facility in Luanda set a new record among DP World’s network - transforming the traditional Terminal Operating System rollout approach. We became the first terminal to implement the full Zodiac TOS solution, in just 30 days, transforming the way in which we do business at the Port of Luanda. Throughout our first eleven months managing terminal operations, we also trained hundreds of members of our staff to utilise the system – making their working lives easier and bringing even further convenience to our customers.
