Heavy snow in DP World Constanta - 12.01.2017
Date: 12/01/2017
Dear Customers,
After last evaluation of snow removal activities, we are prepared to update as follows:
One quay crane and two RTG’s have been mobilized, and half of the main quay ( crane rails ) has been cleared of snow and ice, as such we will attempt during today night shift to start operating the first vessel waiting at anchor since January 9th.
Please also note that tomorrow , January 13th, 12:00, we will attempt to start gate in/gate out operations. We would like to stress out that, at this stage the terminal only disposes of above handling equipment, as such the handling capacity is much affected. Equipment defrosting will continue throughout the night, in hope that by tomorrow noon we will have more equipment available.
Appreciate your understanding and patience,
Thank you.
