"Go Green" campaign 2016
Date: 30/09/2016
"Go Green" campaign 2016 approached this year three important areas:
- Recycling and reuse of recyclable materials
- Climate change
- The Community
"Go Green" campaign is an active campaign in which DP World Constanta is involved with everyday activities for identifying all 3 major areas listed above. Waste from the specific activity of the company, are recycled or reused. For example, empty barrels metal are used in operational areas for correct waste segregation inside the terminal by employees, visitors, contractors.
We organized this year more cleaning activities inside and outside the terminal – on the access road to the terminal - trying this way to get involved for the next years other companies.
Regarding green transportation we chose to do a bike ride with DP World employees and their families , leaving from Tabacarie park to Mamaia Resort. We enjoyed the participation in fairly large number of children and friends of DP World Constanta employees.
It is important to send such messages, to support and promote these kind of activities both within and outside the terminal, for a better understanding and awareness of all that is fair and suitable for the environment.
We also inform you that DP World Constanta under "Environmental Permit" No. 180 dated 07.11.2013 revised biannual analyzes conducted for pre-treated water discharged into drains, rain water and water discharged in the sea pre-treated wastewater discharged from the Washing facility into drains.
