During the meeting, our Chairman reaffirmed DP World’s strong commitment to Mozambique’s sustainable growth and economic transformation, underlining the strategic importance of the Port of Maputo for regional and global trade.
A key highlight of the discussion was the commitment to double the operational capacity of the Port of Maputo within a year, increasing its draft to 16.5 metres.
This development will position Maputo as the deepest port in Southern and Eastern Africa, capable of receiving larger vessels, improving port efficiency, and enhancing Mozambique’s role in global logistics.
