Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults in a timely manner.
- Install, assemble, and commission mechanical equipment as required.
- Replace defective parts such as bearings, seals, belts, couplings, valves, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize equipment downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic Scan tool knowledge.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
