DP World y Emergent Cold Latin America dan primer picazo para construcción de almacén de temperatura controlada

From The construction of this installation is the result of a collaboration agreement that was signed between the two companies for the development of warehouses for controlled temperature logistics services within ours DP World Economic Zones in the region. These include DP World Posorja in Ecuador and DP World Callao in Peru, the Dominican Republic being the first operation where they will establish a warehouse with these characteristics.

The activity which marked the formal start of the construction of this refrigerated installation took place within the operations of DP World located on the Punta Caucedo peninsula, in the presence of the President of the Republic, Mr. Luis Abinader, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, global CEO of DP World, Mr. Neal Rider, CEO of Emergent Cold Latin America, and the CEO of DP World operations in the Dominican Republic, Mr. Morten Johansen.

During his speech our, global CEO and Chairman of DP World, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, , declare that this alliance with Emergent Cold Latin America and the subsequent construction of a last generation refrigerated warehouse, fit perfectly with DP World´s future vision and their growth plan, not just for the region, but also for the country. This plan consists of the development of 3,000,000 square meters of land for the development of free zones for manufacturing and continuing to promote the country as an attractive destination for manufacturing and logistics companies that installed themselves, operate, and make investments in near-shoring format.

Neal Rider, CEO of Emergent Cold Latin America, stated that the development of this refrigerated warehouse in the DP World installations and the alliance with this company, respond to his organization´s vision of providing integral solutions and cold storage of the highest quality within the region.

About the refrigerated warehouse

This latest generation installation will provide precise temperature and effective management of the cold chain, ensuring the integrity of each one of the products stored. In this way it possesses the most advanced logistics system in the region of the Americas, which will permit greater visibility of inventory and much more efficient operations.

In addition, the warehouse will have 6,500 square meters with controlled temperature, and 8,000 positions of multi-temperature pallets (frozen, refrigerated, and room temperature).

The installation will have the Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) certification confirming that the building complies with environmental and sustainability protection, responding to the promise of both organizations to sustainability.
